- This position is contingent upon the award of the contract.
Duties:
- Coordinate and manage administrative tasks to support the organization
- Assist with discharge planning for patients, ensuring a smooth transition from hospital to home
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including coding and documentation
- Utilize medical terminology, ICD-9, and ICD-10 codes effectively
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide excellent patient service
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing calendars
- Handle incoming calls and inquiries, providing information and assistance as needed
- Prepare reports, presentations, and other documents as required
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role within a hospital or healthcare setting is preferred
- Knowledge of discharge planning procedures and protocols
- Familiarity with medical records management, coding, and terminology
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in using computer systems and software applications relevant to the role
